Annual Media training programme launched

TNT – The Northeast Today celebrated National Press Day in it's own special way by partnering with the School of Media, Arts and Design, University of Westminster, London to launch an annual media training programme in Shillong.

The programme titled "Reporting from India's Northeast in the Digital Age: Challenges and Opportunities" makes a serious investment in high quality Indian journalism that aspires to world class standards using the expertise of the University of Westminster and of award-winning Indian journalists, therefore seeking to empower Northeast India's media professionals with the skills that will help them realize the opportunities provided by the digital age.

Seen above are Kishalay Bhattacharjee (senior journalist, author and former resident editor NDTV), Ms. Daisy Hasan (author and academic), Prof. Rosie Thomas (academic from the School of Media, Arts and Design, University of Westminster) and Dr. K C Baral (Professor at EFL University, Shillong) at the launch of the programme.
