NEW DELHI | JUNE 17, 2020:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for an all-party meeting at 5 pm on June 19 (Friday) to discuss the situation along the India-China border. Top political leaders are expected to be present at the meeting.

Earlier today, India's top Defence establishment authorities led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held a high-level meeting to review the Ladakh border situation.

The Defence Minister also paid homage to the martyred soldiers in Galwan Valley and said, the loss of soldiers is deeply disturbing and painful.

Exuding confidence, Singh said that India is prepared to resolve the situation through discussions and asserted that there can be no compromise on the country's territorial integrity.

It may be mentioned that at least 20 soldiers of the Indian Army were killed in a violent stand-off with China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) troops in Ladakh's Galwan area, along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), on Monday evening.
