All ministries, deptts advised to install thermal scanners in wake of COVID-19

NEW DELHI | March 17:

All Central Ministries and Departments have been advised to install thermal scanners at the entry of government buildings in the wake of COVID-19.

Department of Personnel and Training, in its advisory today, said hand sanitizers must be placed at the entries. Those having flu-like symptoms have been advised to take proper treatment and quarantine.

Meetings, as far as feasible, should be done through video conferencing. Non-essential official travel should be avoided. The advisory stated that all gyms, recreation centres, and creches should be closed.

The entry of visitors to the office should be discouraged to the maximum extent. Routine issues of visitors' temporary passes should be suspended.

The advisory also said that proper cleaning and frequent sanitization of workplaces, particularly of frequently touched places, should be done.
