61,94,533 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported globally till date: WHO
NEW DELHI | JUNE 03, 2020:
The World Health Organisation has said that 61 lakh 94 thousand and 533 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported globally till date.
According to the WHO tally, over 1 lakh 24 thousand 139 new cases of novel coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. Globally, till now 3 lakh 76 thousand 320 deaths have been reported, as per WHO.
According to the WHO, Europe has over 21 lakh 75 thousand 941 confirmed cases, while the number stands at 1 lakh 8 thousand 121 for African region.
In India, 8 thousand 909 fresh cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 2 lakh 7 thousand 615.
Health and Family Welfare Ministry said that recovery rate has reached to 48.07 per cent in the country and the number of recovered people from corona virus crossed the one lakh mark today. A total of 1 lakh 303 peopleinfected with corona virus have been cured so far.

The Health Ministry said, 217 deaths have been registered in last 24 hours taking the nationwide death toll to 5 thousand 815.
