Week long dharna by Meghalaya teachers continues in New Delhi

Teachers of Meghalaya under the banner of All India Primary Teachers' Federation (AIPTF) have continued their week long dharna along with their fellow teachers from the rest of the country to push forward their demands in New Delhi.
Thousands of teachers from all over the country have joined in the dharna, which began on Feb 21 and will continue until Feb 27 at Delhi's Jantar Mantar.
The agitating teachers have been demanding the revival of the Old Pension Scheme with immediate effect, all the contractual teachers working under different nomenclature like Shiksha Mitra /Gana Shikshak / Niyojit Shikshak etc. should be regularized before Mar 31, 2021 and uniformity should be maintained in their salaries.
