Tripura: Technical assistant from NIT Agartala hangs himself to death, cops recover suicide note

A technical assistant of the Production engineering wing from NIT, Agartala who has been identified as Vishal Paul (32) has reportedly killed himself on Wednesday afternoon after returning home from NIT.

Vishal Paul was the elder son of renowned Professor N C Paul, the former head of the department (HOD) of Mechanical engineering wing of NIT, Agartala who expired a few years ago.

Sources informed that on Wednesday afternoon, the NIT technical assistant Vishal Paul returned back to his Shivnagar residence in Agartala and locked himself in his bedroom.
Later, Vishal was found hanging from a ceiling fan of the same room by his family members and neighbours.
The incident was then reported to the cops which then led to police personnel from East Agartala rushing to the spot. The body was recovered and sent to GB Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
Police sources informed they recovered a suicide note, which reportedly stated that he committed suicide on his own will and for which nobody was responsible. Police suspec mental depression as a cause of the suicide act.
