Meghalaya girl allegedly stripped, hair chopped & assaulted in Guwahati

TURA | November 13, 2019:

In a horrific incident, a girl hailing from Tura, Meghalaya was allegedly assaulted by a group of people including women on November 10, in Assam.

According to local media reports, the victim is a student pursuing engineering and was staying in a rented house in Guwahati.

The incident took place while she was at home when a group of people including some women, attacked and assaulted her. One of them even chopped her hair with a pair of scissors and also allegedly attacked her private parts.

The victim informed that she could identify only one woman among her attackers; she said that three women had mercilessly beaten and stripped her naked while two men made videos of her.

A case has been registered and investigation is on.
