National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), a statutory body under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India and a premier Institute of Fashion Business Education with 16 Campuses located across the country invites online applications from Indian nationals for the following posts on direct recruitment (on contract) basis for five years (with possibility of regularization following due procedure to assess performance).
- Post Name:- Assistant Database Administrator
No of posts:- 1 (UR-1)
Place of Posting:- Chennai
Age limit:- 35 years (No age limit for NIFT employees working on regular or long term contract).
Pay Level:- Level-10 (7th CPC)/ PB-3, Rs. 15600- 39100/ + Grade Pay Rs.5400/- (6th CPC).
Educational Qualification:- ME /M. Tech / MCA or equivalent with 6 years experience in Database Management/ Software Management & Maintenance/ Management Information System/ Software development. Experience in MS-SQL, ASP Net framework. - Post Name:- Computer Engineer
No of posts:- 13 (UR-7, SC-1, ST-1, OBC-3, EWS-1)
Place of Posting:– Head Office, Mumbai, Bhubaneswar, Shillong, Jodhpur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kangra, Kannur, New Delhi, Chennai, Patna & Gandhinagar.
Age limit:- 25- 40 years (Maximum age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in case of NIFT employees and deserving candidates. possessing higher educational qualifications/ experience). Age relaxation admissible as per Government of India instructions.
Pay Level:- Level-7 (7th CPC)/ PB-2, Rs. 9300- 34800/ + Grade Pay Rs. 4600/- (6th CPC).
Educational Qualification:-
i) BE/B.Tech (Engg) in Computer Science/ IT/ Electronics and Communication or Masters in Computer Application from a University/ Institute of repute with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
OR
3 Years Diploma in Electronics/ Computers with 5 years of relevant experience.
ii) Should have experience in software development, management information system development, maintenance of data bank in a reputed Industry/ institute/ PSU/ autonomous/ Govt./ Semi-Govt. Organization in related areas for at least 3 years.
iii) Should have full knowledge of computer hardware and software. - Post Name:- Junior Engineer (Civil)

Place of Posting:- New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad & Kolkata
Age limit:- 25-35 years (Maximum age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in case of NIFT employees and deserving candidates possessing higher educational qualifications/ experience).
Pay Level:- Level-6 of Pay Matrix(7th CPC)/ PB-2, Rs. 9300- 34800/ + Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- (6th CPC).
Educational Qualification:-
i. Diploma in Civil Engineering from an institute recognized by the Government.
ii. At least 5 years of experience in Civil construction and maintenance work of major projects. - Post Name:- Junior Engineer (Electrical)
No of posts:- 10 (UR-5, SC-1, ST-1, OBC-2, EWS-1)
Place of Posting:- Head Office, Bengaluru, Gandhinagar, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Bhubaneswar, Kannur & Patna

i. Diploma in Electrical Engineering from an institute recognized by the Government.
ii. At least 5 years of experience in erection, running, and maintenance of different types of electrical installations and appliances including underground cable systems.
