Vacancy in IIT Guwahati for Non-Teaching staff, Apply Online

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) invites online applications from eligible Indian Nationals for appointment to the following posts. Candidates are requested to apply online only. No other means/mode of application will be accepted.

1. Post Name:- Medical Officer
   No of posts:- 1 (Reserved for OBC)
   Age limit:- Not more than 35 years. The upper age limit and experience may be relaxed for candidates with higher qualifications.
   Pay Matrix:- Level –10 as per 7th CPC (PB3; Rs. 15600-39100, Grade Pay = Rs. 5400/- as per 6th CPC)
   Educational Qualification:- MBBS degree from a recognized University, with three years of experience in a reputed Hospital after completion of the compulsory rotatory internship. Preference will be given to the candidates having a post-graduate degree or diploma in clinical subjects
2. Post Name:- Students Counsellor
   No of posts:- 1 (Reserve for SC)
   Age limit:- Not more than 50 years.
   Pay Matrix:- Level –10 as per 7th CPC (PB3; Rs. 15600-39100, Grade Pay = Rs. 5400/- as per 6th CPC).
   Educational Qualification:- Post Graduate qualifications in an appropriate discipline from accredited and recognized Institutions with specializations in areas of Counselling, Psychotherapy and / or Clinical Psychology.
   Desirable:-At least 3 years of experience as practicing professionals or as in-house counselors. Experience of similar work in higher educational institutions will be given weightage.
3. Post Name:- Technical Officer Gr. II
   No of posts:- 1 (Reserved for ST )
   Age limit:- Not more than 35 years.
   Pay Matrix:- Level –10 as per 7th CPC (PB3; Rs. 15600-39100, Grade Pay = Rs. 5400/- as per 6th CPC)
   Educational Qualification:- BDes/ MDes or Masters in design relevant subjects & preferably with one-year working experience.
   Desired qualification & experience:- Five years of working experience of video equipment, photography equipment, lighting studio, editing, video conferencing, etc. in a digital environment.
4. Post Name:- Computer & Communication Centre
   No of posts:- 1 (Reserved for SC)
   Age limit:- Not more than 35 years.
   Pay Matrix:- Level –10 as per 7th CPC (PB3; Rs. 15600-39100, Grade Pay = Rs. 5400/- as per 6th CPC)
   Educational Qualification:– BTech / BE with first class in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology with one year experience / OR MCA with first class with two years experience / MSc with first class in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology with three years experience. Knowledge of Programming and Networking is essential. Familiarity with a Linux environment is required. One year of experience in the relevant field is desirable.

1. Rs. 500 (for OBC applicants)
2. Rs. 250 (for SC/ST/PwD applicants).
   
3. Internal applicants of IIT Guwahati can reimburse the application fee by applying to the Registrar, IIT Guwahati.
