Applications are invited on prescribed form by the Director, North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences, Shillong from Indian Citizen for the following vacant faculty posts as mentioned below.
1. Post Name:- Associate Professor
Specialty:- Biochemistry
No of posts:- 1 (UR-1)
For Medical Candidates:-
Essential Qualification:- A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
Experience:- Six years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
For Non-Medical Candidates:-
Essential Qualification:- Postgraduate qualification e.g. Masters degree in the discipline/allied subject with A doctorate degree of a recognized University.
Experience:- Six years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the doctorate degree.
2. Post Name:- Professor
Specialty:- Dentistry
No of posts:- 1 (UR-1)
Essential Qualification:- A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D.S. or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
Experience:- Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
3. Post Name:- Assistant Professor
Specialty:- Medical Oncology
No of posts:- 1 (UR-1)
Essential Qualification:- Doctorate of Medicine (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
Experience:- One-year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M.
4. Post Name:- Associate Professor
Specialty:- Neurology
No of posts:- 1 (UR-1)
Essential Qualification:- Doctorate of Medicine (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
Experience:- Four years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M.
5. Post Name:- Assistant Professor
Specialty:- Surgical Oncology
No of posts:- 1 (UR-1)
Essential Qualification:- M.Ch. (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
Experience:- One-year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.Ch.
6. Post Name:- Assistant Professor
Speciality:- TB & Respiratory Disease
No of posts:- 1 (UR-1)
Essential Qualification:- A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
Experience:- Three years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
7. Post Name:- Associate Professor
Specialty:- Urology
No of posts:- 1 (UR-1)
Essential Qualification:- M.Ch. (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
Experience:- Four years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.Ch.
Pay Scale:-
Professor:- Level- 14A (Rs. 159100- 220200) as per 7th CPC with minimum pay Rs. 159100/- + NPA per month and other allowances as admissible.
Associate Professor:- Level 13A1 (Rs. 131400- 204700) as per 7th CPC with minimum pay Rs. 131400/- + NPA per month and other allowances as admissible.
Assistant Professor:- Level 12 (Rs. 101500- 167400) as per 7th CPC with minimum pay Rs. 101500/- + NPA per month and other allowances as admissible.
Age Limit:- Not exceeding 50 years as on 31-12-2018.
How to apply
Interested and eligible candidates are requested to submit their application in 2 (two) sets in the prescribed form along with attested copies of certificates, testimonials and one copy of recent passport size photograph.
Complete applications may be sent in the prescribed applications form to the Director, North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong – 793 018.
The last date of receipt of application is 31-12-2018 up to 5.30 pm.
Application Fee
Demand Draft in favor of the Director, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong payable at Shillong towards the application fee (non-refundable) Rs. 500/- for General & OBC category and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST category should be attached in original with the application.
The application fee is exempted for PwD category.
Note:- Candidates who had applied earlier pursuant to advertisement No. NEIGR-E.II/19/2004/Pt. XX dated 24-05-2018 need not apply afresh.
