TNT Jobs | April 24, 2019: Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) invites online applications from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment to the post of Assistant Administrative Officer (Generalist/ IT/ Chartered Accountant/ Actuarial/ Rajbhasha).

Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has released the prelims admit card for Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO). Candidates can download admit card from 22-04-2019 to 05-05-2019.

1. Post Name:- AAO (Generalist)

• No of posts:- 350 (SC-55, ST-35, EWS-85 ,OBC-35, UR-140)
• Educational Qualification:- "Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution.

2. Post Name:- AAO (IT)

• No of posts:- 150 (SC-25, ST-14, EWS-15,OBC-36, UR-60)
• Educational Qualification:- Graduation degree in Engineering in Computer Science, IT or Electronics, or an MCA, or an MSC(Computer Science) from a recognized Indian University/Institution.

3. Post Name:- AAO (CA)

• No of posts:- 50 (SC-7, ST-5, EWS-5,OBC-13, UR-50)
• Educational Qualification:- Bachelor's Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidate should have passed Final Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and completion of Articles as presented by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The candidate should be Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

4. Post Name:- AAO (Actuarial)

• No of posts:- 30 (SC-4, ST-3, EWS-3, OBC-8, UR-12)
• Educational Qualification:- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have compulsorily passed paper CT1 and CT5 plus 4 or more other papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. (Total 6 or more papers) as on the date of eligibility i.e. 1st March 2019. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.

5. Post Name:- AAO (Rajbhasha)

• No of posts:- 10 (SC-1, ST-1, EWS-1, OBC-5, UR-10)
• Educational Qualification:-
  Post Graduate Master's Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor's Degree level
  OR
  Post Graduate Master's Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelor's degree level
  OR
  Post Graduate Master's Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelor's degree level.

Age limit:- 21 to 30 years as on 01-03-2019. Upper age limit relaxation as per Govt rules.

Salary:- Basic pay of Rs. 32795/- per month in the scale of Rs. 32795- 1610(14) –55335– 1745(4) – 62315 and other admissible allowances as per rules. Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale, inclusive of House Rent Allowance & City Compensatory Allowance wherever admissible depending upon the Classification of the city, will be approximately Rs 56,000/- per month in 'A' Class city.

Candidate should apply for ONE post only. (Applications made for more than one post by a candidate will render all his/her applications invalid.)

Application Fee

• For SC/ST/ PwBD candidates:- Rs. 100/-
• For all other candidates:- Rs. 600/-

Selection Procedure

Selection of LIC AAO )Assistant Administrative Officers) will be done through a three-tiered process and subsequent Pre-recruitment Medical examination.

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination- The test will have three sections

1. Reasoning Ability:- 35 Marks
2. Quantitative Aptitude:- 35 Marks
3. English Language with special emphasis on grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension:- 30 Marks

Phase-II: Main Examination will consist of objective tests for 300 marks and descriptive test for 25 marks.

Main Exam pattern for recruitment of LIC AAO (Generalist)

1. Reasoning Ability:- 90 Marks
2. General Knowledge, Current Affairs:- 60 Marks
3. Data Analysis & Interpretation:- 90 Marks
4. Insurance and Financial Market Awareness:- 60 Marks
5. English Language (Letter writing & Essay):- 25 Marks

Main Exam pattern for recruitment of LIC AAO (IT/ Chartered Accountant/ Actuarial/ Rajbhasha)

1. Reasoning Ability:- 90 Marks
2. General Knowledge, Current Affairs:- 60 Marks
3. Professional knowledge:- 90 Marks
4. Insurance and Financial Market Awareness:- 60 Marks
5. English Language (Letter writing & Essay):- 25 Marks

Phase-III: Interview

Marks obtained in the Main Examination only will be considered for shortlisting for interview and marks obtained in Main Examination + marks obtained in Interview will be considered for final merit listing of candidates.
