TNT Jobs | March 25, 2019: North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC) proposes to recruit the following positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) purely on a temporary basis for the following project, through walk-in-interview scheduled on 25-03-2019 at NESAC, Umiam.

1. Post Code No:- WI-01No of posts:- 1 (One)Project Name:- Desertification and Land Degradation: Monitoring, Vulnerability Assessment and Combating Plans.Essential Qualifications:-M.Sc in Agriculture/ Botany/ Environmental Sciences/ Forestry/ Geography/ Geology with Post Graduate Diploma in Remote Sensing & GIS/ Geoinformatics with NET/GATE or equivalent or with N-JET in RS&GIS SpecializationORM.Sc in Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing & GIS with NET/GATE or equivalent or with N-JET in RS&GIS SpecializationORM.Tech in Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing & GIS or equivalent with B.Sc as pre-qualification.

   Project Name:- Operational feasibility of additional intervention package for accelerated malaria control in areas with Jhum Cultivators in Tripura.
   Essential Qualifications:-
   M.Tech in Atmospheric Science/ Earth Science/Physical Science/ Physics/ Agrometeorology/ Computer Science/ Environmental Science/ Information Technology or equivalent
   OR
   B.Tech/B.E in Computer Science/Information Technology with NET/GATE or equivalent or N-JET in Atmospheric Science Specialization.
2. Post Code No:- WI-03 No of posts:- 1 (One)

   M.Sc in Forestry/Environmental Science/ Botany/Agriculture/Ecology/ Geography with NET/GATE or equivalent or N-JET in Forestry Specialization

   M.Sc in Remote Sensing & GIS/Geo-informatics/Spatial Information with Graduation in Science with NET/GATE or equivalent or with N-JET in RS&GIS Specialization
   OR
   M.Tech in Remote Sensing & GIS/Geoinformatics/ Spatial Information with Graduation in Science.
3. Post Code No:- WI-04 No of posts:- 1 (One)
   Project Name:- Wetland inventory and hydrological analysis in Meghalaya under National Wetland Inventory and Assessment Phase II
   Qualifications:-
   M.E/ M.Tech in Hydrology/ Water Resources/ RS&GIS/ Geo-informatics/ Earth System Science with B.E/ B.Tech in any Engineering discipline.
   OR
   M.Sc in Remote Sensing/ Geo-informatics/ Earth System Science with Bachelors in any Science discipline with NET/GATE or equivalent.
   OR
   M.Sc in Remote Sensing/ Geo-informatics/ Earth System Science with Bachelors in any Science discipline with N-JET in RS & GIS specialization
   Desirable Qualification:- Working knowledge in RS&GIS and hydrological modeling and applications.

   Project Name:- Forest biomass mapping of North East India using microwave Remote Sensing data.
   Qualifications:-
   M.Tech in Electronics, Information Technology/ RS & GIS/Geo-informatics/ Earth System Science
   OR
   M.Sc in Physics/ RS&GIS/ Geo-informatics/ Earth System Science with Bachelor in any Science discipline with NET/GATE or equivalent.
   OR
   M.Sc in Physics/ RS&GIS/ Geo-informatics/ Earth System Science with Bachelor in any Science discipline with N-JET in RS & GIS specialization
   Desirable Qualification:- Working knowledge in microwave image analysis/Signal processing/ pattern recognition/ Machine Learning and Computing/ software programming in R or MATLAB.

N-JET (NESAC JRF Eligibility Test):- The N-JET 2017 and N-JET 2018 was conducted at NESAC on 23.03.2017 and 13.03.2018 respectively. Candidates having valid Score Cards may apply directly.

Age limit:- Maximum 28 years as on 25-03-2019. Upper age relaxation as per Govt rules.Fellowship amount: Rs. 25,000/-. In addition, HRA and medical benefits for self only will be allowed as per rules.
