Notification | Meghalaya Scholarship Umbrella Scheme for Scheduled Tribe Students

Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Meghalaya, Shillong invites online applications for "Meghalaya Scholarship Umbrella Scheme for Scheduled Tribe Students – Pre and Post Matric" in prescribed format from the students who are permanent residents in the state of Meghalaya studying within and outside the State for the year 2018-19.

Eligibility Conditions for Meghalaya Scholarship

Pre-Matric Scholarship for Class IX and X

He/She should belong to Scheduled Tribe category.
His/Her parent's annual income should not exceed Rs. 2.00 Lakhs per annum.
He/She should be a regular, full-time student studying within the state of Meghalaya from class IX up to class X in Government schools/institutes or private schools/institutes recognized by the appropriate authority of the State.

Post Matric Scholarship for class XI to Post Graduation

He/She should belong to Scheduled Tribe category.
His/Her parent's annual income should not exceed Rs. 2.5 Lakhs per annum.
He/She should be a regular, full-time student pursuing higher studies in different courses from class XI to Post Graduation.

How to apply for Meghalaya Scholarship

Eligible applicants are to apply for scholarships via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP 2.0) for the academic year 2018-19 on website www.scholarships.gov.in-> State Schemes-> Meghalaya and click Apply to fill up the Pre and Post Matric Scholarship Application Form.

Important Dates

Opening date of Application Registration by Student (For Fresh):- 10th November 2018
Closing date of Application Registration by Student (For Fresh):- 31st January 2018

The Last date Verification of Application by Institutes:- 10th February 2019
