Applications are hereby invited from Retired Ex-service/ Personnel for Contractual Appointment to the post of Zila Sainik Welfare Officer Tura, under the Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Meghalaya.

Post Name:- Zila Sainik Welfare Officer
No of posts:- 1 (One)
Age limit:- Should not exceed the age of 57 (fifty-seven) as on 01-01-2019.
Emoluments:- Last Pay drew minus Pension, including Commuted Pension, Plus the first Ignorable part of Pension and other Allowances as admissible under the State Govt. rules.
Academic Qualification:- Degree Holder.
Resident/Non-Resident:- Must be a Permanent Resident of Meghalaya.

Essential Criteria

1. Candidates holding the post of Colonel/ Lt. Colonel or of equivalent ranks in the Navy or Air Force Services before retirement. However, in case of unavailability of suitable candidates, applications from the retired officers holding the rank of Major or its equivalent in the aforementioned Services before retirement shall also be entertained.
2. Officers (Col/ Lt Col/ Major or equivalent ranks in the Navy or Air Force) should have put in at least a minimum of 15 (fifteen) years of Commissioned Pensionable Services.
3. However, in case of unavailability of suitable candidates, applications from officers of the rank of JCO or its equivalent in the Navy or Air Force Service or Short Commissioned Services, who have put in at least 5 years of service, shall also be entertained.

Contract
The Contractual appointment shall be for a period of 3 (three) years subject to attaining the age of 60 (sixty) years, whichever is earlier.
