Mizoram: Govt. to give ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh to bridge collapsed victim

AIZAWL, February 15, 2018: Government of Mizoram has decided to give Rs 4 lakh as ex-gratia to the next kin of 48-years-old, H C Lalfakzuala, who died in a bridge collapse on Tuesday.
Lalfakzuala died while walking on the yet-to-be-completed Bailey bridge over Tuirini river, about 50 kms east of Aizawl, on Tuesday.
He and his nephew Laltleipuia, 24, of Sesawng village, were trying to walk across the bridge when it suddenly collapsed. Laltleipuia survived with injuries.
The government also decided to pay the medical bills of the injured person.
