Sikkim’s popular band ‘Tribal Rain’ to release their first album today

A four piece freestyle acoustic experimental band from Sikkim 'Tribal Rain' formed in the year 2014 is releasing their first album titled 'Roka Yo Samay' at Kathmandu today. Along with the album launch, they  also will be performing the promotional gig in a pub 'Factory' located in Thamel, Kathmandu.

Tribal Rain comprises of four young guys viz, Rahul Rai (26) on Vocals/ Guitar, Kenneth Adhikar (20) on Keys, Prawes Lama (24) on Guitars and Sushant Ghatani (27) on Canjon. The album will have 11 songs in Nepali and it is produced by Grunge Studio, Gangtok. The entire songs of the album are recorded at Psalms studio, Gangtok. Along with the album launch, the first music video of the band is also being released today.

Speaking to TNT- The Northeast Today, Rahul Rai, the front man of the band said, 'the album roka yo samay is about leaving our past behind and striving for a new beginning, a new life full of aspirations and dreams. We are extremely happy because despite many ups and downs we are finally up with the launch of our first album, and that too amongst the midst of very talented music artist from Nepal"

Further, he added, 'the genre of songs in the album is double faced as in we have portrayed our songs for various types of listeners. 5 of our songs are ballads and the remaining 6 is freestyle experiment. Each song has its own taste and a story behind it and we truly feel that the listeners will like our songs'.

The album launch event and a promotional gig is organised by the popular event management company of Nepal, Bandwagon by Positive Vibes. The band is being managed by Robin Gurung, Gangtok who is also the proprietor of Grunge Studio.
