Netflix releases official trailer for 'The White Tiger'

NEW DELHI:

The official trailer for Netflix's 'The White Tiger' left many viewers stunned after its release on Monday.

Starring Priyanka Chopra, Rajkumar Rao and Adarsh Gaurav, The White Tiger is an adaptation of Aravind Adiga's Man Booker Prize-winning debut novel.

Chopra and Rao play a wealthy married couple living in the US only to later return to India.

Adarsh Gourav plays the part of a driver named Balram Halwai, who serves the couple.

The plot also revolves around Halwai's desire to work for Ashok(Rajkumar Rao), but because of the class divide, is constantly reminded of his social status.

In the official trailer, however, we get to see how the driver "uses his wit and cunning to escape from poverty and become an entrepreneur."

The movie will be out on January 22, 2021, on Netflix.
