Assam: Singer Padmanav Bordoloi’s car window broken; valuables stolen in broad daylight

GUWAHATI, May 2, 2018:  2007 Indian Idol finalist and famous Assam singer Padmanav Bordoloi's car window broken by miscreants. The incident took place in broad day light at AT road on Tuesday.

Reportedly, the incident occurred when the singer took his car to a certain car servicing centre at AT Road. The singer parked his car at a specified parking lot and went to the market.

The artist returned to his car to find the left window of his car completely broken. The singer's mobile, an iPhone, wallet with cash amount of Rs 5,000 and several important documents worth Rs 25,000 were also stolen from the bag which he left inside the car.

The incident was immediately reported to Bharalumukh Police Station, but due to lack of proper CCTV arrangements nearby, the miscreants could not be spotted.

The singer, while raising concern about the whole issue, said, "If we are not safe in our own city, and if our car is not safe even after parking in specified parking locations, it is matter of huge concern. I am really disappointed with the safety and security measures in the city."
