Three persons test positive for new coronavirus strain in Rajasthan's Sriganganagar dist

Three persons in Rajasthan's Sriganganagar district have reportedly tested positive for the new UK classified coronavirus on Monday.

"Three persons have tested positive for the new UK variant of coronavirus. Their samples were sent to Delhi. All three have been shifted to the district hospital. Contact tracing and their sampling have been done. The area where they live has been sanitised," ANI quoted Hawaiian Singh, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Sriganganagar.

The Union Health Ministry confirmed that 38 samples have tested positive for the UK category of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, till Monday.

Researches have also said that the new strain of COVID-19 is faster in transmission than other SARS-CoV-2 categories.
