NEW DELHI:

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the bail granted to actress Rhea Chakraborty by the Bombay High Court in a drug-related case.

A bench headed by Chief Justice S.A Bobde and Justices A.S Bopanna and V. Ramasubramanian will hear the NCB’s plea in the Supreme Court.

On October 7 last year, the Bombay High Court granted bail to the actress and directed her to deposit a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh in the alleged drug-angle case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sidelining the Bombay High Court’s decision, the NCB has now moved to the Supreme Court, and the case now will be heard by a select bench.
