Tripura | Assembly speaker’s bank account hacked; fraudster calls as customer helpline

AGARTALA | November 10, 2018 (UNI):
The Speaker of Tripura assembly, Rebati Mohan Das lodged a police complaint for bank fraud from his SBI accounts by using mischief calls last evening.

According to police, Das has alleged that a person called on his cell introducing him as customer relationship manager of SBI and verified his account credentials. But since he was busy in the meeting, transfer the call to his son for replying further query.
During discussion somehow the caller managed to get the ATM PIN number of the speaker and his son.
Within few minutes the fraudsters pulled out Rs 61,000 from two accounts.
