KOHIMA | AUGUST 22, 2020:

Nagaland Assembly Speaker Sharingain Longkumer and ruling People's Democratic Alliance(PDA) pleaded the opposition NPF to continue their support Joint Legislators Forum (JLF) on the Naga political issue.

A letter to the Naga People's Front (NPF) leader T R Zeliang by the Nagaland speaker read, "It has taken 23 long years for all the stakeholders to arrive at the present situation wherein we have all witnessed significant progress. At such a crucial juncture let us continue to support and proactively facilitate with all stakeholders through the JLF".

Earlier on Tuesday, the NPF Legislature Party had planned to move out from the JLF on the Naga political issue, claiming that the movement is not at all progressive and has become a "mere forum"

The JLF has a 20-member core committee,  of which five are  NPF-members.
