Meghalaya: DC Matsiewdor War takes charge as Administrator of KHADC

Shillong, Feb 08:

East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner, Matsiewdor War today took charge as the "Administrator" of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC). 

When contacted, War said that she had only gone to the Council to take charge as the Administrator.

She also said that she will be going to start her work as the Administrator on Monday.

Earlier on Friday, Meghalaya Governor, Tathagata Roy had approved the proposal of the State Government to invoke Administrator Rule's (AR) in the KHADC.

As per the official notification, the Governor had also appointed  War as the Administrator of the KHADC in the exercise of the powers conferred by sub para (2) of the Para 16 of the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution.
