UPSC postpones civils services preliminary examination 2021 

The exam which was scheduled to be held on June 27, 2021, has been rescheduled to October 10, 2021, the UPSC announced.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), on Thursday, postponed the upcoming Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2021, due to the prevailing conditions caused by COVID-19.

The exam which was scheduled to be held on June 27, 2021, has been rescheduled to October 10, 2021, the UPSC announced.

"Due to the prevailing conditions caused by the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Union Public Service Commission has deferred the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2021, which was scheduled to be held on 27th June 2021. Now, this Examination will be held on 10th October 2021," a statement issued by UPSC read.

The UPSC conducts civil services examination annually in three stages-preliminary, mains and interview, to select officers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and other allied services.

It may be mentioned that last year, the Civil Services exam was also rescheduled from May 31 to October 4, due to the COVID situation.
