Union Government to push electricity cooking facilities across the country

NEW DELHI | SEPT 14, 2020:
Union Minister of Power R K Singh in a programme in Bihar on Sunday, commented that the government is planning to expand electricity cooking facilities in the country.
"It will provide the poor strata of the society a cheaper option for their day to day requirement and move the nation towards self-reliance," he said.
"Electricity is the future of India and most of its infrastructure will be powered by electricity," he added.
He assured that the government has foreseen this be a great opportunity in providing efficient energy for Indian families.
The project is said to allow the economy to be self-reliant and give independence from imports.
