‘Take my vote!’: Twitter explodes as Rahul Gandhi admits his love for Cristiano Ronaldo

Indian National Congress president Rahul Gandhi's recent vocalisation of his love for Real Madrid and Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo have prompted Indian fans to take to Twitter to troll the comments.
The Congress is India's main opposition party and is one of the top contenders for the upcoming elections in the country.
India is only weeks away from the general elections that will determine whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will remain in power.
The election is believed to be the largest exercise in democracy in the world, with about 900 million people ready to cast their votes.
As part of his party's election campaign, Gandhi travelled to the north-eastern state of Manipur to interact with students in a session called 'Dialogue for Democracy'.
When asked if he was a Barcelona or Real Madrid fan, the Congress leader replied, "I am a Juventus fan but between Real Madrid and Barcelona, I am a Real Madrid fan. Until Ronaldo was there, I was a Real Madrid fan."
His comments has sent Indian football fans in a meltdown as they began trolling and hailing him for his choice:
