Recovery rate of COVID-19 patients in India improves to over 26%

NEW DELHI | May 4, 2020:
The recovery rate of COVID-19 patients has improved to over 26 percent in the country.
A total of 11, 706 people recovered after treatment and have been discharged from the hospitals.
The total number of confirmed cases in the country now stands at 42, 533 while a total of 1373 deaths have been reported so far.
With this, there are now 29, 453 active cases in the country.
Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has urged people to observe the extended period of lockdown in letter and spirit and treat it as an effective intervention to cut down the chain of transmission of COVID-19.
