PM Modi addresses digital startup event 'VivaTech'

While highlighting the growing ecosystem that India provides to foreign investors, Modi said that India has always been 'adaptable and agile' even in the middle of the COVID pandemic to welcome innovators and investors to the Indian market.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed the 5th edition of the 'VivaTech' digital event through video conferencing inviting investments in India across core sectors.

While highlighting the growing ecosystem that India provides to foreign investors, Modi said that India has always been 'adaptable and agile' even in the middle of the COVID pandemic to welcome innovators and investors to the Indian market.

PM Modi while addressing the conference invited investments on five pillars of talent, market, capital, eco-system and culture of openness.

Stating that the COVID pandemic has disrupted economies around the world,  he said that there is a need to focus on 'repair and prepare' for the growth of development trajectory going forward.

The Prime Minister maintained that India will introduce huge reforms across sectors including mining, space technology, banking, atomic energy and more.

Speaking about the culture of the start-up ecosystem, he said that India is home to multiple startups and several of them have come in recent years, paving way for overall economic growth.

Companies have set up bases in the country because of the immense pool of talent here. India offers what innovators and investors need, business-centric policies coupled with a transparent mechanism to run a business, PM Modi said.
