Man fined Rs 9,150 for killing cat

MUMBAI | October 9, 2019:

In a shocking incident, a 40-year-old man had been issued a fined of Rs 9,150, for allegedly killing a black cat with a screwdriver.

The accused have been identified as Sanjay Gade, a resident of Indira Nagar in Chembur. The news have come into light after the dead cat hanging on a stick had gone viral soon after the killing.

The accused said that he have taken the extreme step after the cat had messed up his house.

Police had booked Gade under sections of the IPC, Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and the Maharashtra Police Act.

A case have been registered against Gade.
