Indian actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, eight-year-old daughter recover from COVID-19

NEW DELHI | JULY 27, 2020:
Indian actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her eight-year-old daughter, Aaradhya, have recovered from COVID-19 and have left the hospital after a 10-day stay.
However, Abhishek Bachchan and his father, Amitabh Bachchan are still recovering and are lodged at a hospital in Mumbai.
Abhishek Bachchan tweeted that Aishwarya and Aaradhya have tested negative for COVID-19 and have been discharged from the hospital.
"My father and I will remain in the hospital under the care of the medical staff," he said.
The Bachchans have been the most high-profile case of India's growing COVID-19 cases.
Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan tested positive on July 11.
However, Rai and Aaradhya tested positive a day later but were admitted to the hospital only on July 17, after they developed symptoms for COVID-19.
Amitabh Bachchan is one of India's most beloved actors, and fans all over the country are praying for his swift recovery.
India, having 1.3 billion people, has recorded more than 1.4 million new COVID-19 cases, which is the third-highest in the world after the United States and Brazil.
It has recorded nearly 33,000 deaths so far.
Cases in India have been rising rapidly, and the country on Monday, July 27, reported a record number of 49,931 new cases.
