India reports 60,471 COVID cases in last 24 hours, lowest in 75 days 

The country recorded 2,726 COVID related deaths within the last 24 hours taking the total death toll to 3,77,031.

NEW DELHI:

India reported 60,471 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours on Tuesday, which is the lowest count in the last 75 days, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed.

The country recorded 2,726 COVID related deaths within the last 24 hours taking the total death toll to 3,77,031.

The active cases have declined to 9,13,378 with a recovery rate of 95.64 per cent.

The daily positivity rate stands below the 5 per cent mark and the weekly positivity rate stands at 4.39 per cent.

Meanwhile, recoveries continue to outnumber daily nee cases for the 33rd consecutive day as India witnessed 1,17,525 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 38,13,75,984 samples for COVID-19 have been tested till June 14, of which 17,51,358 samples were tested on Monday.

The Union Health Ministry informed that a total of 25,90,44,072 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
