India registers 38,949 new COVID-19 cases, 542 deaths in last 24 hours
With the latest figures, India's active caseload now stands at 4,30,422 cases including 4,12,531 deaths to date.

India registered 38,949 new COVID-19 cases and 542 deaths in the last 24 hours on Friday, informed the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
With the latest figures, India's active caseload now stands at 4,30,422 cases including 4,12,531 deaths to date.
In addition to that, the country also witnessed 40,026 recoveries in the last 24 hours, which continues to outnumber the daily COVID-19 positive cases being reported.
Further, the recovery rate has increased to 97.28 per cent, informed the Union Health Ministry.
According to the MoHFW, a total of 39,53,43,767 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
