INDIA: Number of active cases drops, death toll remains constant

The death toll is yet to come down the 3000 mark, which is still a challenge for the country.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) data, on Tuesday, showed a slight dip in the number of active cases than on any other days, giving a 'sign of relief' for the country.

According to the MoHFW data, the number of active cases in the country stands at 3,7,15,221 with a significant decrease of 30,016 active cases than yesterday, and the number of registered deaths is 3,876.

The death toll is yet to come down the 3000 mark, which is still a challenge for the country.

The recovery rate on May 11 stands at 82.75 per cent, which is 0. 56 per cent more than the percentage registered on Monday.

A total of 17,27,10,066 have been vaccinated with 25,03,756 more new inoculated cases reported till Tuesday.

India has seen an improvement with the number of active cases, the number of which, had crossed the four lakh-mark last week.
