India's COVID active cases continuously rising, recovery rate declines 

The recovery rate is continuously declining. With the rising number of fresh cases, the recovery rate has further declined to 81.77 per cent.

The number of COVID positive cases continues to be on the rise as India registered over three lakh 92 thousand cases in the past 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, there are over 33 lakh 49 thousand active cases in the country at present, which comprises 17.12 per cent of the total positive cases.

Over 3689 deaths have been reported in India within 24 hours, taking the toll to over two lakh 15 thousand across the country.

The recovery rate is continuously declining. With the rising number of fresh cases, the recovery rate has further declined to 81.77 per cent.

India registered over three lakh recoveries in a single day from this infectious disease. So far, over one crore 59 lakh patients have already recovered from the virus.

Meanwhile, over 15 crore 68 lakh beneficiaries have been inoculated with Covid-19 vaccine jabs in the country so far.

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry, on Sunday, informed that over 18 lakh 26 thousand beneficiaries have been administered the doses of vaccine within 24 hours.

The third phase of the vaccination drive saw a total of 86 thousand and 23 beneficiaries aged between 18 to 44 years receiving the first dose across 11 States and Union Territories.
