India administers over 13 crore COVID-19 doses in 95 days

In the last 24 hours, 29,90,197 doses were administered in the country.

NEW DELHI:

The Ministry of Health has informed that the cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccines administered in the country has crossed 13 crores in 95 days.

Amid the rapid surge in the number of COVID-19 cases across the country, the government has accelerated the process of vaccination and hopes to inoculate the maximum number of people.

In the last 24 hours, 29,90,197 doses were administered in the country.

Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala accounted for 59.25 per cent of the total doses given so far.

The above states also accounted for 76.32 per cent of the fresh COVID-19 cases in the country.

Meanwhile, amidst the surge in the number of cases the national recovery rate has jumped to 85.01 per cent.
