Former President Pranab Mukherjee continues to be in deep coma

NEW DELHI | AUG 26, 2020:
Former President of India, Pranab Mukherjee continues to be in a deep coma and on ventilator support.
According to a release issued by the Army Research and Referral Hospital on Wednesday, Mukherjee is being treated for a lung infection.
"His renal parameters are slightly deranged since yesterday. He continues to be in a deep coma and on ventilator support," read the statement.

It may be mentioned that the former President tested positive for COVID-19 on August 10 when he was admitted for emergency surgery for a brain clot.
