Five Indian hockey players test COVID positive; shifted to Super-Speciality Hospital

NEW DELHI | AUG 13, 2020:

Five Indian hockey players including captain Manpreet Singh, who were tested positive for COVID-19, have been shifted to a Super-Speciality Hospital for better medical care as a precautionary measure, on Wednesday, August 13.

The five India hockey players were Captain Manpreet Singh, Jaskaran Singh, Surender Kumar, Varun Kumar, and Krishnan B Pathak.

It may be mentioned that all five players tested positive for COVID-19 during the Sports Authority of India (SAI) mandatory COVID test, upon arrival at the National Camp National Centre of Excellence (NCOE) in Bengaluru.

According to a statement issued by the SAI, all the players are in good health and recovering well.

The players were shifted from the National Centre of Excellence to the hospital to ensure that they are attended at all times and can be given the best possible treatment.
