COVAXIN vaccine prices reduced from Rs 600 to Rs 400 

NEW DELHI:

After the Serum Institute of India had announced to reduce the price of Covishield, Bharat Biotech has reduced the price of Covaxin for the state governments from Rs 600 to Rs 400 per dose.

Bharat Biotech has said the decision has been taken after recognising the enormous challenges being faced by the public health care system.

"Bharat Biotech is deeply concerned with the critical pandemic circumstances that India is facing at this time. Recognising the enormous challenges to the public health care system, we have made Covaxin available to state governments for Rs 400 per dose," the company run by Krishna M Ella said.

Covaxin will cost Rs 1200 per dose for private hospitals.
