Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2019 Revised Notification; Details here

CTET is applicable to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT's of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi.

The aspirant candidates of Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) are hereby informed that in compliance with orders of Hon'ble Court(s), the eligibility criteria are being revised as under

Minimum Qualifications to appear in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test CTET 2019

For Classes I-V: Primary Stage (Revised Eligibility Criteria)

Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) ORSenior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002 ORSenior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed) ORSenior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education) ORGraduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)" "(a) who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as primary teacher"

For Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) ORGraduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) ORGraduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard  ORSenior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed) ORSenior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. ORGraduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) ORAny candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET.

How to apply for CTET 2019

Interested and eligible candidate can apply for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test Online by logging on CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in only from 05-02-2019 to 14-03-2019.

Application Fee for CTET 2019

For General/OBC Candidates:- Rs. 700/- for One Paper and Rs. 1200/- for Both Paper.For SC/ST/Differently Abled Person Candidates:- Rs. 350/- for One Paper and Rs. 600/- for Both Paper.

Structure of CTET 2019 Exam

All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be most appropriate. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking. There will be two papers of CTET.

Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
