Woman beheaded in France 'knife attack'; three dead, several injured

Three people were killed and several others were injured, in a knife attack near a church at Nice in France, police said.

Media reports stated that amongst one of the victims, a woman was beheaded by the attacker.

It was informed that the attacker, who was arrested, has been taken to a nearby hospital after sustaining injuries during the arrest.

Though the reason for the attack is still unclear, police believed that the assailant was working alone.
