BAGHDAD:

Twin suicide bombings hit Iraq’s capital on Thursday killing at least six people and wounding over 25 others, Iraqi state television reported.

The officials informed that the two explosions hit a commercial centre in central Baghdad.

The suicide bombers blew themselves up after being pursued by security forces, reported Iraqi station's Nujaba TV.

There were several infrastructural damages reported after the blast, and they report the condition of those injured to be critical.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility in the blast, and there is no clarity about the organisation that can be linked to the attack.

The deadly attack is the first one after the military defeat of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Iraq in 2017.
