Mrs World 2020 gives up crown over on-stage melee
Mrs World 2020, Caroline Jurie, has resigned her title weeks after she was involved in a controversy.
Jurie had claimed that this year's Mrs Sri Lanka winner Pushpika de Silva did not qualify for the title as she was divorced.
However, De Silva clarified, “I'm not a divorced woman. I say with great responsibility that I am not a divorced woman even at this moment of writing. If I was a divorcee, I would dare them to submit my divorce scripts.”
Jurie was arrested for damaging the property at the pageant venue, and for injuring de Silva after forcibly removing her crown.
