AIZAWL:

A 35-year-old woman fell to her death when Myanmar military forces raided her office apartment on Sunday.

The woman has been identified as Lallianzuali alias Mazuali from Kalaymyo’s Tahan in the Sagaing Region in Myanmar.

According to the advocacy group Assistance Association for Political Prisoners, the raid was so "panic-stricken" that the woman, who reportedly tried to sneak out through the fire-escape, fell off from the fifth floor.

However, there have been reports of the woman dying under questionable circumstances. It is yet to be ascertained whether the woman was pushed off the emergency exit stairs, accidentally fell, or had deliberately jumped to her death.

The incident occurred when the regime forces violently broke into the office of the country’s well-known charitable organisation - “We Love Yangon” in Yangon’s Mingalar Taungnyunt Township, destroyed the office, smashed the doors and office furniture and, looting the office accessories, AAPP said.
