11 dead, 98 injured after train derails in Egypt

Eleven people died, and ninety-eight sustained injuries in a train accident in Cairo, Egypt, the health ministry informed on Sunday.


According to the Egyptian National Railways, the train was making its way to the Nile Delta city of Mansoura from Cairo when four carriages derailed at 1:54 pm.


Sources stated that over 50 ambulances took the injured to three different hospitals and that the cause of the accident is now under investigation.
