India ranked number one Test team after series win against Australia



The stunning three-wicket victory over Australia at the Gabba, which resulted in a phenomenal series win, propelled India to the top of the ICC World Test Championship standings on Tuesday.

The victory added 430 points to the total in the rating tally, putting the Indian team ahead of New Zealand (420) and Australia (332).

England and South Africa occupy the fourth and fifth spots respectively in the standings.

So far, India has played 13 matches in five series, winning nine and losing three tests in total, earning 71.1 per cent of the total points.
