India leads global efforts in tackling Covid-19 pandemic, says President Kovind

NEW DELHI:

India is leading the global efforts in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic, said President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday.

Kovind made the statement during a virtual event attended by ambassadors from the Republic of Fiji, Dominican Republic, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.

“The highly affordable vaccines made in India have reinforced the country’s repute of being the pharmacy of the world,” Kovind said.

“The highly affordable vaccines made in India have already reached several countries,” he added.

Meanwhile, the President also conveyed his good wishes to the envoys on their appointment.
