Finance Ministry releases grant to seven NE states for 2020-21

NEW DELHI:
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on January 7 released Rs 6,195.08 crore as Post Devolution Revenue Deficit Grant for the year 2020-21 to 14 states including seven northeastern states.
These states include -- Assam Rs 631.58 cr, Manipur Rs. 235.33 cr, Meghalaya Rs 40.91 cr, Mizoram Rs 118.53 cr, Tripura Rs 269.66 cr, Sikkim 37.33 cr and Nagaland Rs 326.41 cr.
The other states are Kerala Rs 1,276.91 cr, Himachal Pradesh Rs 952.58 cr, Punjab Rs 638.25 cr, Andhra Pradesh Rs 491.41 cr, Uttarakhand Rs 423 cr, West Bengal Rs 417.75 cr and Tamil Nadu Rs. 335.41 cr.
