CRPF jawan injured in blast ahead of BJP rally in Anantnag

SRINAGAR:

One CRPF jawan was reportedly injured after terrorists lobbed a hand grenade minutes before the beginning of a BJP rally at Bijbehara in Anantnag district of South Kashmir on Thursday.

"The injured jawan was identified as Patil Parmakar of 40 BN, and was admitted to the sub-district hospital where his condition is said to be stable," a police officer said.

According to official sources, the area has been cordoned off, and a search operation is on to track down the culprits.
