Manipur CM distributes financial aid of Rs 7500 each to organic farmers

IMPHAL | SEPT 09, 2020:

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh distributed Rs 7,500 each to the organic farmers in the state, amounting to a total of Rs 6.5 crore, on September 9 to provide financial support to the farmers amid the pandemic.

The organic farmers received monetary help through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under the Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North-East Region (MOVCDNER) scheme, Chief Minister said.

The Chief Minister also distributed pension cards under the Manipur Old Age Pension (MOAP) Scheme to at least 20,833 pensioners enrolled through the 'Go to Village' mission under the Social Welfare Department.

"With the deepest respect for the senior citizens of the state, we distribute old Age Pension Cards to 20,833 pensioners of various Assembly Constituencies," said Singh.
