Drug smuggler arrested in Manipur

IMPHAL
A commando unit in Bishnupur arrested an individual who was attempting to smuggle contraband from Naranseina near Ereima School along National Highway (NH-2) at 11: 45 am on Sunday.
They identified the smuggler as 37-year-old Sokholen Touthang of Leisan Village Leisan Tampak, Churachandpur District.
Touthang was travelling in a Maruti Celerio (ML-O5-M-6193) and had approximately 6 kilograms of suspected Opium in his possession.
Police also registered a case against Touthang at Moirang Police Station, and the matter will undergo further investigation.
